Seattle Arboretum

Image
Took a break in the rain (that has been here since we arrived) and ducked into the Arboretum and Japanese Garden on our way home from visit with daughter Scarlett and Kenny. First visit with them since they tied the knot in Dec. Although the sky was grey and heavy with rain clouds we managed to get through without too much wet stuff falling from above!

Traveling North

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest; we knew the minute we crossed the state line from California to Oregon when the rain welcomed us to the Northwest. Stopped for a few days at Timber Village SKP park in Sutherlin, OR.  Used that as our park and spent all our time visiting ex-in-laws.  They are preparing to make the big move to Nebraska so wanted to do what we could to help.  A lot of work and visiting and so glad we spent the time...  Our next stop has been here at Mt Hood Resort about 13 miles east of Sandy, OR.  Grey, and wet outside but nice park.  Did some much needed grocery shopping and plan to make a day trip up to Mt. Hood.  All the times we have been by here and never officially visited the mountain.  Did have a short all beit nice visit from friend Candice.  So good of her to go out of her way just to see us...
