Visiting with Grandchildren

Image
After two years finally made it back to Western Washington and part of the family anyway.  So good to see children/grandchildren again although these two did come back to DC to see us a year ago.  They came to stay overnight with a friend and of course we had rain the whole time. ugh.  Still good to see them.. the phone is never far from their sticky little fingers though and playing with the grandchildren has taken on new meaning.  Ah well...

Finally!!! Just logged on..

No idea what has been hang up but tried again and whalla!!! I am on.. No time to spend blogging right now really but thrilled was able to access blog again.. I have been trying for a while now.. Ok, more to follow soon.

Okay, so we leave Montana and after fueling up in Idaho because we have checked the prices and fuel prices in Washington are TERRIBLE we finally crossed border in to WA.  Oh my, the rain, will it ever stop!  And we are in Eastern WA where it is known to be less wet...Better I guess then having wild fire problems like so many states right now.  Tucked away north of Spokane by about 30 miles or so.. Lovely little park - Water and Elec only (30 amp) - did see Bambie's mom one day and then another day heard shots ring out but not sure they weren't just doing shooting practice. ugh. Went into Spokane a few times to meet with old work mate Ernie.  Over all good time but wonder when rain will stop!

Three Forks, Montana

All too soon it was time to be on road again and destination Washington State. We were advised to make stop in Three Forks for the wonderful deli bakery Wheat Monana.  Worth the stop.. we walked out with arms full of all sorts of goodies... This is a great stop!  Loved it.. all too soon back on road and did fine until about an hour west of Missoula then hit the R A I N.  It has been raining steady and today (6-6-12) had warning from National Weather Station for flood warnings.  Now wait a minute.  You mean to tell me we made it all the way through the whole country from Florida to Washington State without any mishaps only to be warned of Floods!!! What is going on?? ha!  What a crack up .. we are holed up today trying to stay dry and wrap our heads around this crazy weather.  Will say we did stop in Idaho to top off fuel tanks since the State of Washington seems to be in the "gouge" mode... guess Princess Gregoire is still working to clean up deficit mess. .. oh well.  They

Early gets the prize for perfect timing on this one!  Made it to our neice Katie's 18th birthday and next on the agenda her graduation!  She is valevictorian of her class too  so we are all very proud of this young lady!  She is lovely girl as is her mom and grandma and sister ... shall I go on. ha!  We are so pleased to be able be here especially since brother Mark (her dad) isn't able to be home for this special time.  Livingston, Montana may be a small town and it is settled about 80 miles north of Yellowstone national Park and is a lovely.  However, the weather is forever changing and we have had sunshine so bright one minute and thunderstorms the next. It's wild and the wind can be wicked but we are enjoying it all especially being with family.  So important and it's been too long since we have been here.
