Always happy to see family, we took advantage of a few days off and drove over (in car only) to see daughter Mary and her family in Las Vegas. We stayed in rental cabin at Thousand Trails which was much more cost effective than driving rig over... wonderful to see them as always. Jason had never been there before so we walked our legs off visiting the various "shows" and hotels. The grandkids loved it and we loved seeing them. This is picture from Sam's Town where they have a waterfall show in afternoon.
While visiting the Pacific Northwest this summer we visited the Ballard Locks. Always a fun place when the weather is nice and the boaters are busy going through the locks. Didn't have much time to stay and picnic but enjoyed the outing just the same.The grand children are about grown and was fun to spend some time with the family.
This year has been so different for us with decorating. 1st time with real tree in 13 years! We have ornaments from all over the country so all with memories attached besides older ones we did manage to hang on to when we 1st went full-timing. We even have a few strings of lights out in the front yard. Our neighbors were feeling like grinch after seeing our house so have joined in the fun of decorating too. It has been a busy time - went to Senior Talent show here in our little community and that was fun. 92 year old lady in red sequin dress; wow! She looked and sang like 92 but she was having a gay ol time and we loved it! I was impressed with the "tappers"; a group of about 6 ladies all seniors with their old tap dancing skills and the cutest outfits that one in particular had the skill to make for all!
