Orphans at Wish Poosh

4th of July was Great! No rowdies! Only nice family groups and some of our favorite campers from last year came back so that was a plus too! We did have an interesting thing happen. Some of our campers in #15 (one of my favorite sites) was leaving and stopped by to let us know that when the pulled up their tent they learned they had a family under it! Mama died protecting her young and here is pic of her young in nest of chewed up toilet paper! they placed a piece of fern and wood over site in ground... yippee. Now what do we do? We left them alone but then new campers came in and wonder of wonders they did not disturb this nest as they made up camp. We did tell them about this little group of orphans (4 young women) - no idea what will happen to them but can tell you we have a trap set in our basement storage for little critters like this. We have already caught about 10-12 and am sure we will have more before summer season is over! We do not want to catch them in trap though so ... they are sure cute like this about as big as a fingernail!

Just to let you know we think of you both often. If you are anywhere on the west coast this fall, we will be heading south along 101 from early October.
In Alaska at present....wow.
love and hugs to both
