Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream - Waterbury, VT

What can I say about visiting an ice cream factory.  It was a very, very busy crowded place with people waiting in long lines to purchase ice cream and other things.... The tour was not free. They must make a mint in a day!  Goodness only $2.00 for us old folks but the lines - tour was pretty good - of course you don't really see any ice cream because it's all in stainless vats and tubes so not much to see but they did have a cute little introductory film and a free sample afterwards.  Lines too long for me - ice cream just is not worth it - I know it's good but we had other places to go. ha!
One thing this place did have is a little cemetery out back of all the ice cream flavors that have been tried and failed. Fun.

A short visit with family

Always happy to see family, we took advantage of a few days off and drove over (in car only) to see daughter Mary and her family in Las Vegas. We stayed in rental cabin at Thousand Trails which was much more cost effective than driving rig over... wonderful to see them as always. Jason had never been there before so we walked our legs off visiting the various "shows" and hotels. The grandkids loved it and we loved seeing them. This is picture from Sam's Town where they have a waterfall show in afternoon.

Merry Christmas!

This year has been so different for us with decorating.  1st time with real tree in 13 years!  We have ornaments from all over the country so all with memories attached besides older ones we did manage to hang on to when we 1st went full-timing.  We even have a few strings of lights out in the front yard.  Our neighbors were feeling like grinch after seeing our house so have joined in the fun of decorating too.  It has been a busy time - went to Senior Talent show here in our little community and that was fun.  92 year old lady in red sequin dress; wow!  She looked and sang like 92 but she was having a gay ol time and we loved it!  I was impressed with the "tappers"; a group of about 6 ladies all seniors with their old tap dancing skills and the cutest outfits that one in particular had the skill to make for all!  Very nice indeed.  Last evening had a local church choir put on a show for us older folks which was very nice and so great t...

 Here it is another year nearly over and we are all ready to say good riddance.  This year has been tough for so many.  We are feeling rather blessed having made it thus far.  Although Murphy family was infected with the covid they too were blessed with no lasting effects as far as we know.  So here's to another year coming on in 2021 in just a few weeks.  Let's hope it goes much better!
