Old North Bridge, Concord, MA

Ah, the lovely Concord river, on a still autum day.  What a day, hardly the type of day to imagine a battle raging on this bridge! Well, that was the spring day of 19 Apr. 1775 and the battle from Lexington carried on to this bridge where they fought literally in the back yard of Ralph Emerson Waldo's grandfather!  Wow!   There is even a marker for 2 british and 2 patriots next to this monument right on the edge of Mr. Emerson's property!  It's really something to see.  One note here, there are 6 different places along this way where the National Parks have set up special places for this famous area.  The lucky children that get to visit on field trips and learn from being there...
